Biden reportedly wants to campaign again

Could former President Joe Biden return to the political stage? A recent report raises the possibility, suggesting that Biden is ready to lend a hand as the Democratic Party grapples with its declining popularity.

NBC News reported that Biden, along with his wife, former first lady Jill Biden, has offered to support the party’s efforts to rebuild and regain traction. According to the report, Biden’s offer came after a meeting with Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin, where he reportedly expressed a willingness to help with fundraising and strategy as Democrats work to address their shrinking base.

This news comes as the Democratic Party faces a significant challenge in the polls. A recent NBC News poll revealed that only 27% of registered voters view the Democratic Party positively—its lowest approval rating since the network began tracking these numbers in 1990. The drop in popularity marks a difficult moment for the party as it struggles to find a clear path forward.

While Biden’s potential return to the political scene may seem like a solution to some, the idea isn’t universally embraced within the Democratic Party. A major supporter of the former president, speaking anonymously, questioned whether Biden’s return would resonate with voters, telling NBC News, “Who’s going to want Joe Biden back in the game?”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump was asked about the prospect of Biden re-entering politics during a Friday appearance in the Oval Office. Trump responded, “I hope so.”

As the Democratic Party navigates its unpopularity, Biden’s potential role in shaping its future remains a topic of debate.
